MOTO-X in paradise

We had the privilege of riding at Dr. Rod Huss' ranch - or as we like to call it, "Zen MX." The place is incredible! Fully landscaped, watering system, etc. During the week Rod works on the track, prunes the bushes, trims the ice plant (hence "Zen") the rest of the time he is a practicing Gynecologist delivering an average of 50 babies per month! But Saturdays are for riding! On top of all that, Rod is THE nicest guy you'll ever meet. He and his wife Julie showed us great hospitality and a day we'll all remember forever.

Deep blue skies and flowers in bloom...
Paradise. With a watering system to boot!
Watering the track before the day's first ride... chatting with Rod
Chris before the day's first ride. Our sentiments exactly!
My brand new bike had a seizure and died not even half-way thru my first lap. Dano and I were so sad! But it was dead and we were there... I was so lucky that Dr. Huss was such an angel AND just happened to have "some old bike" that nobody ever rides" in his garage, and he let me borrow it for the day! He saved the day!

Here's me on the white XR200 and Junko before starting our laps. Yes, we are dressed exactly alike. Thought we wouldn't be? We are two of the 3 Honda's Angels. We miss you Kim Lish!!!

Tati and Junko
Dano looks amazing against the blue sky... matches his eyes... (I know, barf!)
This track is fantastic. Can you believe Dr. Huss keeps it up all by himself?
Dano keeps catching some huge air...
I caught some air myself. I was higher than it looks, of course.... hehe

This turn was my favorite turn. I FINALLY learned to take the turn without slowing down completely!
Great track shot from above. This is the view the Huss' have of the track from their home.
Nice. This is also in view of their home. I want to swing on it and drink lemonade. I don' t even like lemonade. But that swing makes me want to drink it!
Can't you just hear the birds chirping? Squirrels scurry-ing, children laughing?
Doug's rapturous cool off period
This is a local dog named Honda. Yes.
It was the dog Honda's world. We were just walking around it. He sat on our chairs, and stole our food... a whole banana, then a whole box of lunch meat...
The already perfect day ended with another perfect stop. COLD SPRINGS TAVERN

(This is where Dan proposed to me last December!)

We were anxiously waiting for our chili dogs... Junko was very excited about the cheesy, meaty snack just minutes away...
This is when we told Junko that they were OUT OF CHEESE... Doug was very thirsty!!!
I wish these guys would goof around every once in a while...

Dano day dreams of ice cold beverages...
Dano GETS ice cold beverage...
Junko and Tati. Another perfect day with good friends!

Two things:

1) I MISS YOU GUYS! I wish Phil and I were there

2) I am amazingly jealous of seeing you all in shorts and flip flops.
