Snorkleing in Kona (Delayed posting)

I totally forgot about our point-and-shoot underwater camera that we had while snorkleing in Kona in June. I finally took it in to get developed and got a few shots out of if. I am posting late, but it's good to remember the trip... wish we were back there now.

This little guy deserves the exposure. The water wasn't too clear but seeing turtles NEVER gets old. :)

CAT-astrophes

So on days that I'm home all day I've been discovering what the cats do when I'm not around (or they think I'm not watching)

Here's Coco going in the sink after the green beans I'd recently steamed and was draining Caught! Green-handed!
She then proceeded to chew it...
And surprisingly, she DID eat the whole thing once I stopped taking pictures of her.
Back off from my greens, lady!
In another part of the house, I found Miko inside my purse...
A short time later he was passed out all curled up inside it... it's so cute and entertaining that I took pictures instead of getting him out of it...
I also figured out why there's a soaking wet toy mouse on the floor every day. I caught them taking the mouse, dropping it IN their water dish, playing with it and then tossing the wet thing all over the house. Lovely.

Kimbescott wedding

A handsome crew waiting to board the ETERNITY for Kim and Scott's wedding this past weekend.

I was/am extremely huge and awkward and I think everyone was a bit nervous to have me on board a boat for 5 hours... hehe. Turned out, there was absolutely no sign of impending labor anywhere on the horizon.
And it was a beautiful horizon. Beautiful day, afternoon and sunset, just before the ceremony!

Barronika Wedding

My good friend Monika got married to her sweetheart, Barry, this weekend. They did so at Casa Del Camino, in Laguna Beach. It was a perfect day!

Doug's 80s Bday party

Dan's Highschool friend, Doug, had an 80s themed Bday party this weekend. However, Dano and I have SO much on our plate right now, that planning for and shopping for 80s garb just did not fit on our plate. So we did not participate in the dress-up... this time.
But Doug, the birthday boy, sure did.
And so did a lot of other people....
We had a blast. We danced, ate good food and I drank a lot of water! Wooo-hoooo. Their house is just amazing so we felt we were partying at a resort. Thanks for having us guys! Happy Birthday!

This weekend: Heat waves, promotions and celebrations

This weekend was the Lovely Kim's Bridal Shower. She's going to be such a radiant bride!

And the Black Belt promotion. This is a pretty good group picture after the testing.

Flavor Savor

Dan and I met up with John and Heather and Destini and Scott for the annual Stroll and Savor in Belmont Shores. Well, it's annual, but it's also monthly for the summer months. It was my first time doing it. It was the best hanging out with four of our most favorite people !

So you buy this book of 12 tickets for $10 and you go from restaurant to restaurant and exchange these tix for food. It's a great way to sample all kinds of foods off these places menus and you get a pretty good idea of where you'd like to come back to and eat more... The portions were big enough to get REALLY full by the end of the stroll, though!
At the end of the night... still had 2 tix left and could not eat another bite! It was a delicious and fun night. I love summer.

The cat traps are working

I was laughing so hard when I was this picture...


And now I know it's not just MY cats that are crazy and will sit in any and all boxes you put down

I even did this experient, and brought in smaller and smaller boxes and sure enough, Coco went and sat in each one, even as it got smaller. The smallest box I brought it, she just sat on it.
Cats provide hours of free entertainment.

Camping in Pismo beach

Introducing baby Jacob. Mom and I took a girls trip up to Pismo Beach to meet up with the Roddas, Amie, James, Lizzie and little Jacob and the rest of the Roddas.

This was my first time meeting little Jacob since he was born. He is just adorable. And so mellow!

I was holding Jacob and out of the blue he just reached down and sorta tapped my belly and then just rested his little hand there. It was so funny and so cute, like he was giving his "cousin" a little high five!
